A short letter, every morning at first light. It finds one small, ordinary thing, true on any morning including this one. It says that, then stops. Reading it takes a minute. I want it to wake the mind gently — a balm, so you can go into the day slowly.
I've been making a letter like this every morning for months, quietly. Now I'm doing it in the open, hoping one of them lands well for someone. I choose what each is about and set the voice; a computer writes the sentences, and I keep only the lines that hold up. They live here, free to read, and the older ones stay.
